Delete Your Ethos National Account

Last updated: May 27, 2026

This page explains how to permanently delete your Ethos National account and the data associated with it. The Ethos National mobile app ("Ethos," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by the Ethos National team.

Delete Your Account From the Mobile App

The fastest way to delete your account is from within the Ethos mobile app on iOS or Android:

  1. Open the Ethos app and sign in.
  2. Tap the Settings tab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Your account and associated personal data will be permanently deleted immediately upon confirmation. You will be signed out and cannot recover the account afterward.

Delete Your Account From the Web App

If you prefer to delete your account from a browser:

  1. Open the Ethos web app and sign in.
  2. Open your Profile page.
  3. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Delete Your Account by Email Request

If you cannot access the app (for example, you no longer have the device or you have lost access to your email), you can request account deletion by emailing us. Send a message from the email address associated with your Ethos account to:

support@ethosnational.org

Subject line: Account Deletion Request

Please include the email address on your Ethos account and a brief statement confirming that you want your account permanently deleted. If you also want the alumni record described below to be permanently deleted, please say so explicitly in your message.

We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days, and we will reply to confirm once it is complete.

Request Partial Data Deletion (Keep Your Account)

You do not have to delete your entire account to remove specific pieces of personal information. To request deletion of specific fields — for example, your phone number, your personal email address, your birthdate, or your private streak history — email support@ethosnational.org from the email address on your Ethos account with the subject line Partial Data Deletion Request. Tell us which fields or categories you want removed. We will verify the request and complete it within 30 days.

Several fields can also be cleared directly from the app: open Settings to update or clear your profile information and notification preferences, or open the Habits tab to turn off private streak tracking.

What Data Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the following from our systems:

What Data Is Retained (Alumni Record)

When you delete your account, we create an alumni record — a snapshot of limited information that we keep for historical reporting, alumni outreach, and campus operations. The alumni record is retained indefinitely unless you specifically request its deletion (see below).

The alumni record contains the following fields:

The alumni record does not contain your password, session tokens, push notification tokens, group attendance history, content reading history, daily marks, accountability partner identity, feedback submissions, or any per-event behavioral logs.

If you want the alumni record itself to be permanently deleted, email support@ethosnational.org with that explicit request and we will remove it within 30 days.

Automatic Deletion at Graduation

If you remain in Ethos through your graduation year, your account is automatically deleted on June 30 of that year using the same process described above. The alumni record described above is kept. You will not receive a separate notice before this happens, so if you would like to delete your account or alumni record earlier, please use one of the methods listed above.

Other Limited Retention

Data We Do Not Sell or Share With Third Parties

Ethos does not sell your personal information and does not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. The alumni record described above is stored only on our own servers and is not shared with outside parties.
