Campus Score = active members × average effort score, snapshotted once daily.
Reduction is calculated by comparing self-reported pre-Ethos usage frequency (from onboarding) against tracked setbacks over the most recent 30-day window, annualized. Only users who opted into private streak tracking and have 7+ days of data are included.

Pods
Each active board member gets a pod column. Drag captains from the side list into a pod, or tap a captain on mobile and pick a destination. The pod's score is the average of its captains' active-group scores; draft groups are excluded but show a draft pill.

Manual Assignment
To create a new group, click the captain icon next to an unassigned student — this automatically creates a draft group with them as captain. You can then assign more members, pair partners, and promote the group to active.

Captainless Active Groups
These active groups currently have no captain — usually because the previous captain deleted or graduated out. Pick a member to promote.
This does two things in order:
- Creates new groups from draft groups that have an accepted captain, filling each with up to 4 members matched by graduation year.
- Backfills existing groups that have open spots with remaining unassigned students.
Students receive a push notification and email when they are placed. You can run this as many times as needed — it only places students where capacity exists.
